TypeSafe AI rolled out the Jev model — for pre-formulated questions, it responds in a specified format: choosing an option, returning a number, or giving a score. It doesn't generate free text and doesn't explain its reasoning.

Context. The company was founded by Diogo Almeida, one of the researchers behind ChatGPT and InstructGPT. The price is $0.042 per 1 million input tokens, and output tokens aren't billed at all.

What this gives you in practice. In an analysis on habr.com, a working market-making bot for Monad is put together: it reads the MON/USDC order book on Kuru and requests a decision from Jev on every block — roughly once every 300 ms. Then it places a limit order one tick closer to the market price. Some of Jev's decisions came back in 81 ms ⚡

The bigger story is the loop. Jev by itself doesn't form a trading system: you need data collection, feature computation, an action policy, risk management, order submission, and result monitoring. Jev is responsible only for part of the evaluations within that loop. According to the repository, in three days the bot gained more than a thousand stars. Material relevance date — September 24, 2026
